Puto, a long-term resident at the refuge, has been there since he was a young pup, and has been searching for his forever home ever since. He has shown kindness to every animal and human that has crossed his path.
Despite growing up at the refuge, Puto is eager to bring his spunk and loyalty to his new forever home in Canada. With his kind nature, socialization, and good health, Puto is a true star and love bug.
He was rescued from getting hit by a car by Massiel on her way to work one morning. Puto has become the man of the house, acting as the guardian to all. He has developed a deep bond with Massiel and loves to follow her everywhere she goes. According to Massiel (and all of us at CCPR) Puto embodies the definition of love, strength, courage, and kindness, and that is incredibly special.
Meet Sombra!
Sombra is a sweet, resilient little pup with a heart full of love. He was rescued from an abusive situation , and thanks to his dedicated rescuer Luis, and his incredible sponsor, he now has a chance to thrive. His name, a loving combination from both Luis and his sponsor, perfectly reflects the care and affection he has received on his journey to recovery.
When Gabriel Sombra was rescued, he had several skin conditions and was understandably fearful of the world. But being a young pup, he has shown incredible courage and is learning to trust and love again. His fur is growing back, and his playful, affectionate personality is shining through every day.
Because Sombra was severely malnourished in his early life, his exact breed and adult size are uncertain for the time being, though we believe he is a potcake mix that will likely be small to medium when fully grown. Photos can sometimes be misleading, but we will keep you updated as he continues to grow and flourish.
