PAloma

  • Name: Paloma
  • DOB: ~2021
  • Breed: Labrador Retriever X
  • Size: Medium/Large
  • Sex: Female
  • Neutered: Yes

Meet Paloma, our newest rescue and the definition of resilience! Just look at those beautiful eyes 😍. This sweet girl has endured unimaginable cruelty at the hands of an abusive owner, including an attempt to hang her. Despite the trauma she’s faced, Paloma is now safe and finding solace in our shelter.

Her journey to healing began with a calm acceptance of a much-needed bath and Fipronil treatment from Dr. Jorge Luis Martinez Diaz. Paloma has already been dewormed and is eating well, showing signs of affection and trust as she begins to heal.

We named her Paloma in honor of a beloved spirit, and we are committed to helping her recover both physically and emotionally. Massiel has already formed a special bond with Paloma, and the affection is mutual. It’s clear that Paloma is ready to start a new chapter in her life, and we’re excited to support her every step of the way.

Welcome to your new beginning, Paloma—you deserve all the love and happiness the world has to offer!

Lily

  • Name: Lily
  • DOB: January 19th 2024
  • Breed: Labrador X Coonhound
  • Size: Medium
  • Sex: Female
  • Neutered: Yes

Meet Lily, one of the sweet siblings born at a resort and rescued just days later alongside her mother, Megara. Megara, who once struggled to trust humans, has blossomed into a loving and affectionate girl. Their father, Hercules, is also available for adoption and is another gentle giant who’s looking for his forever home. It’s rare to know both parents in Cuba, but having this knowledge helps us predict that Lily will grow up to be tall, lean, and just as loving as her parents.

While one of Lily’s brothers has already found a home in Canada, it’s now Lily and her sisters’ turn to start their new journey. Lily is the most timid of the bunch, but don’t let that fool you—she’s incredibly well-socialized with both animals and people. She’s grown into her stunning face markings and her adorably big ears, making her even more endearing as she comes out of her shell.

Lily may take a little time to warm up, as this refuge is all she has known, but with patience and love, she’ll be a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a gentle soul who has so much potential to shine, Lily might be the perfect fit for you!
