Cuba Canada Pet Rescue was created to renovate and operate the refuge previously purchased in Ciego de Avila. This refuge will provide spaying and neutering, a sterile environment for surgery, and a safe place for animals to recover. Most importantly, it will reduce the number of animals born in the streets. Your support will allow for our important work to continue to be done where it's desperately needed.
Situated 17 km from Ciego de Avila, this one-acre property, featuring a house that stood abandoned for years in Jicotea, has been transformed into a thriving refuge for animals in need, thanks to generous donations.
We are also pleased to announce our up-and-coming satellite refuge, which has presented us with opportunities to expand our efforts and rescue more animals in parts of Cuba that were previously inaccessible to us.
With a knowledgeable and dedicated Board of Directors now signed on, fundraising efforts increasing, refuge property previously purchased, and with major renovations well under way, the organization is growing to be more organized and professional.
